  • Qualifications

    Patients need only be uninsured residents of Orange County.

    Have a diagnosed seizure disorder or experienced seizures without a diagnosis.

  • What is Epilepsy?

    Epilepsy is a disorder of the brain that causes repeated seizures. This can look like shaking/jerking, becoming confused, twitching, etc.

    Treatment can include medications or surgery

Meet the Doctor

 

Dr. David Millet is a board certified neurologist that specializes in seizures and epilepsy. He received his B.S. degree from UCLA and obtained his M.D. and Ph.D from the University of Chicago in 2001. From there he completed his medical internship, neurology residency, and 2-year subspecialty train fellowship in Epilepsy and EEG at UCLA. After joining Keck School of Medicine in 2007, Dr. Millet established a successful epilepsy monitoring program that received a special Merit Award from the County of Los Angeles in 2011 for providing advanced epilepsy care to thousands of underserved patients.

Dr. Millet joined the Hoag Neurosciences Institute in 2014 and serves as the director of the epilepsy program. It was in this position that he was connected with Lestonnac Free Clinic and began volunteering his services to uninsured residents of our community.

 Meet Israel Zuniga

Israel was referred from La Amistad Community Clinic to our Epilepsy program in December 2018. After suffering with seizures for 10 years, we were able to provide him a FREE brain surgery 2 months before the birth of his first child. He is now free from seizures and able to drive again after 10 years.
